~ Mom's Corn Bread Stuffing ~
1/2 onion (apple sized)-diced
1/2 green bell pepper-diced
2 celery sticks-diced
(boil for a few minutes for softer consistancy)
3 cans cream of chicken soup
4 cups turkey broth
1 cup softened butter
10 cups corn bread (crumbled)
1/2 Tablespoon sage
1/2 Tablespoon of pepper
1/2 Tablespoon of salt
1/2 Tablespoon season all
2 cups New Orleans style Dirty Rice
(cook before adding to other ingredients)
1-12 oz. Jimmy Dean Sausage-Sage Recipe
(lightly brown before adding to other ingredients)
Makes approx. 10-12 servings
Bake covered for 30 minutes at 400 degrees
Uncover and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes
